Season of Passage

by Christopher Pike

One of his best novels, especially since its a lengthy piece of work. As usual, the story revolved the characters in two worlds, then finally showing the link between two diff "stories".

An unexpected story that was about vampire. But CP as always painted the villian as reptilian creatures. It would seem he really hates lizards.

Whisper of Death

by Christopher Pike

Another light read. Enjoy the shorter stories within. Dislike the end. It was too... typical of horror stories... Like a lame horror movie that ends with the monster's hand suddenly pushing outta the grave where it was supposed to have juz died.

Not exactly sth I would reread...

The Immortal

by Christopher Pike

Good plot. The first novel of CP I've read back when I was 13. As usual, a good story from a master of his field. Great juggling of the two worlds of the proagonist. Despite its minimal thickness, the plot ran well with good character development. A good book without wasting time.

The Double Eagle

by James Twining

The story jumps around the globe quite a bit. UK, France, even the Middle East. Fast paced. Another "who's the actual bad guy?" Characters felt too.. alienated? Not to say they're flat, but it would seem they only say/do things that are obviously needed for the plot, i.e. kinda like watching a movie, where every single thing they say must have a reason for being there... Not ideal for light reading if an airy story is unwanted. Plot wise... not exactly above average.

Dead Simple

By Peter James

Who-did-it? that lacked the suspense. Cant say its brilliant, alto the twist towards the end made it a lil better. Not mind-blowing or anything. Perhaps there's juz too many characters with too lil useful insights on them.

Twilight, and sequels

by Stephanie Meyer

The first time I read the book, I felt it was pretty shallow.

But re-reading proved that opinions could change over time. It could hardly compare to the classics, but it is undeniably good for general public. It is something most ppl could comprehend so I guess it achieved the purpose of being read by as much ppl as possible.

The plot is fairly simple, but the character development was quite nice. Very repetative author, but the fourth book was decent. Overall a good time killer. Tho I suspect the subject of vampire was the main lure.
